Day 53 - A quick cabin visit

"Man, it feels good to be out of that car seat!"

We made a short overnight stop at the cabin in Tomahawk to break up the drive home.  Well worth it. Plus Grandpa Roger, Uncle Bryan and Aunt Mandy were there.

Day 52 - Presque Isle

"So this is where you and Momma got married, huh?"

We took Leevi and Paige to Presque Isle where we had our wedding Ceremony.  Leevi wasn't all that impressed apparently.

Day 51 - Fun Times

"Where are we going next?"

Leevi was a happy camper at the Cabin for most of the time we were there.  Not much better than a baby toothless smile.

We took a trip up to the top of Sugar Loaf (pretty much required on any visit to Marquette, MI).

Day 50 - The MQT

"While I understand how cool it is out here, its pretty darn cool out here Grandpa Steve."

We took a trip to Marquette, Michigan to visit friends and the old stomping ground.  Grandpa Steve and Grandma Alice made the trip up as well.  Of course we had to head out to Presque Isle as one of the first stops (well, other than eating at the Border Grill...)

Since space is always at a premium, we decided to bring the screened whatcha-ma-thinger for Leevi to sleep in.  He wasn't a huge fan. Lesson learned I guess.

Day 49 - Sun Hat

"You know Mom, most people use hats like this to keep out of the Sun, not to keep warm..."

The weather turned colder quickly.  Sometimes you just need a hat.

Day 48 - Calming Effects

"Thanks Kaija, I feel a lot better."

Leevi was having a pretty fussy day, and it was bed time.  We set him down on the couch to regroup a little bit.  Kaija took it upon herself to snuggle right up to him.  Instant reaction.  Leevi calmed and fell asleep.  Well done Kaija!

Day 47 - Football X 2

"When did the Packers get camouflage jersey's Grandpa?"

Just a quick visit for a little Monday Night Football action.  Yes, that is an overage of Packer gear, and yes, it makes me sad.

Day 46 - Skol!

"Hey Mom, can you get me another?"

Just a little Vikings football watching.  No big deal.

Day 45 - A Night Away.

"Wait, where are you going Momma??"

My parents came down to watch the kids while we went to a good friend's wedding (which was a super good time).  I'd like to pretend in my head that the kids missed us while we were gone.  Doubtful.

Day 44 - Still Good.

"Still sooo sleepy"

And sometimes a nap in a lap is just as good.

Day 43 - A Long Day

"Oof.  I'm exhausted"

Some times Leevi sleeps really well in your arms.  You have to cherish those moments.  Especially because Paige was not much of a cuddler.

Day 42 - Thumbs Up.

"Nice and comfy, Mom.  Good choice."

Leevi, as with the rest of the family (me excepted) loves warm fuzzy pajamas.  I can see the appeal, but the whole concept just doesn't work for me.
