Day 331 - Traditions

"You know what is fun?  Making noise.  Lots and lots of noise!"

Trips to the cabin in Ely should always include playing with old school toys like wooden blocks.  Oh, and if you put them in an empty Buhl water jug, they make a ton of noise.

Day 330 - Super Leevi

"Wherever there is Danger (or milk) you will find me.  I'm Super Leevi!"

Leevi was looking the part in his Super Hero onesie (complete with cape) as we took in the Ely 4th of July Parade.

Day 329 - A Quick Picnic

"Hey, wait, I think I'm falling off this bench here guys..."

We made a quick lunch picnic stop on our way to Ely at Amnicon Falls State Park outside of Superior, Wisconsin.  It is a very nice park, and the waterfall is pretty cool too.  Highly recommended.  Leevi liked the old bench.

Day 328 - Little Big Feet.

"Just my size.  Thanks Uncle Bryan!"

Leevi just loves to put on other people's shoes and try to stand up in them.  Personally, I can think of easier ways to practice standing and attempting to walk, but to each their own I guess.

Day 327 - Tuckered Out.

"Just let me close my eyes for a minute, I'll be right back."

Well, the beach finally won.  Leevi was too tired to keep playing.

Day 326 - And Yet More Water

"What happens when you hit water with a wand? More splashing fun!"

I guess there is a theme here.

Day 325 - Homemade Water Park

"Woah!"

Well, it isn't quite Noah's Ark, but it works in a pinch.

Day 324 - Faster

"Quick, get me out of here!"

Leevi sure is getting faster, and sure is getting into a lot of things.  Nothing is safe. Nothing.

Day 323 - A Day at the Beach

"Look, it's a minnow.  Get it!"

Leevi had a good day at the beach.  Definitely nice to get out of the house and cool down a bit.

Day 322 - Brewers

"GOOOO AOKI!"

Good time at the Brewers v. Cubs game.  The kids made it through most of it, which was a plus.  Now if they could scratch together a win, it would have been even better.

Day 321 - Ball Game

"Let's get the game started!"

Spent the evening watching Paige's Tee-Ball game.  Leevi enjoys it for the most part, though I think he would rather play than sit on the side lines.  

Day 320 - Grandpa Rides

"Weee!"

Grandpa Rides are pretty much the best.

Day 319 - Movin' on Up

"Now we are talking.  This is awesome!"

Well, the neighbors have a pool.  Which basically means all other plans are now thrown out the window.  Leevi had a pretty good time, that is for sure.

Day 318 - Wrastlin'

"You better let me go, or I will get even."

Leevi takes a lot from Paige, but I am sure it won't be long before he can start dishing it out too.

Day 317 - Heading for Cover

"I'm thinking I need to get away from here."

Leevi is starting to gravitate towards hiding under the kitchen table, just like Kaija.  Sometimes together.

Day 316 - Rope Swing Taste Tester

"I immediately regret this decision."

I doubt the rope tastes very good.  I guess you have to try it before you learn?

Day 315 - Gap Shot.

"Cheese!"

The gap continues.

Day 314 - Faster and Stronger.

"Out of the way!"

Leevi is definitely getting faster, and getting stronger.  Its hard to keep up some times.

Day 313 - A Sign of Things to Come

"Catch!"

This kid can throw, and loves anything that might possibly resemble a baseball.  Accurately some times too...

Day 312 - Bottle Shock

"Turns out milk was a good choice.  Contrary to popular belief." 

The never-ending bottomless pit of milk drinking continues.  

Day 311 - 80's Style

"Are you ready to ROCK?"

And here, we see Leevi has moved well into his '80s hair band stage (sans the hair).  Or perhaps, his sister just likes tormenting him.  One of the two.

Day 310 - The Wold Famouns Kiwi Star of the Excito-Box

"Uhh, what?"

In the world of kids, very few things are more exciting that a big empty box.  Even one with a kiwi on the side.

Day 309 - Go Outside and Play

"Is it time to go outside yet?"

Leevi really enjoys playing outside.  Mostly because he can get muddy and wet.  Then again, don't we all?

Day 308 - Happy Times

"Another, photo?  Sounds good!"

Leevi is, for the most part, a very happy kid, and always willing to smile.

Day 307 - Coming Through

"Coming through.  Watch out!"

No nook or cranny is safe.  Be warned.

Day 306 - House

"Come on in, there is plenty of room!"

Just some outdoor patio fun at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Day 305 - Time to Play

"I think it's time to go play now Kaija. You start barking so they come let us out."

Changing out of Pajamas is clearly optional.

Day 304 - Big Slide

"Let's do that again, that was fun."

Leevi has moved on up to the big kid slides.  (Also, apparently that is his "playground outfit."

Day 303 - Troublemaker

"What Grandma?  No, I won't grab everything off of the table.  Don't worry."

Lies.  Lies. Lies.  Leevi has a big everything.  reach.  And is curious about just about everything he can reach.

Day 302 - Go-Karts

"Wait for me Paige!"

Our driveway is pretty much a go-kart track these days.  Some day Leevi will be able to keep up.  Today was not that day.

Day 301 - Hanging by the Pool

"Let's go that way!"

Paige had swimming lessons, so Leevi had to hang out on the pool deck.  He made the most of it.

Day 300 - Decision Face

"Hmmmmm..."

Leevi had a tough decision to make apparently.

Day 299 - Behind Bars

"So, you are going to let me out of here, right?"

Babies spend a fair amount of time behind bars.  Leevi doesn't mind too much most of the time.

Day 298 - Jump Zone?

"Is this all that you have for us to play with?"

Well, the jump zone isn't quite as exciting for the infants and toddlers.  His sister sure had a good time.

Day 297 - FaceTime

"Hey MorMor Teri!"

Leevi is also starting to get interested in FaceTime.  Pretty amazing that video chat is so easy to operate that a 4 year old can do it and show her little brother.

Day 296 - Bath in Black

"This bath time sure is starting to get fun."

Leevi was not super excited about warm baths.  He is starting to turn that around though.

Day 295 - Uncomfortable

"zzz."

It is amazing the different positions that babies can find comfortable enough to sleep in.

Day 294 - More Dirt.

"I think there is more dirt this way!"

Dirt, Dirt, and More Dirt.  As to be expected I suppose.

Day 293 - Carry A Big Stick.

"Hmmm, what can I whack with this?"

Sun, water, dirt, sticks.  Summer has arrived, despite the date.

Day 292 - Packing Up

"Is it already time to go?  It went so quickly!"

Unfortunately with camping comes cleaning up and packing on the last day.  The site always looks so empty when you are done.  

Day 291 - Ladder Golf

"This looks fun, can it be my turn?"

We had the annual ladder golf tournament, and Leevi wanted to get in on the action.  Or maybe it was just the golf balls that he wanted.

Day 290 - All smiles again.

Temporary grumpiness was clearly the case.

Day 289 - A couple of grumps.

"Do I look amused?"

Guess they were a little grumpy today.

Day 288 - Walk.

"Let's try this stroller out.  Looks fun."

Well, it's that time of year again.  Time for camping.  Leevi was clearly ready for a walk.

Day 287 - Up.

"Up."

Yeah, pretty self explanatory I think.

Day 286 - Tuesday Soccer

"Ball!  Ball!  Ball!"

We made it back in time for Paige's soccer game.  Leevi was very excited to see all of the soccer balls around.

Paige was showing Leevi the finer points of jumping on a trampoline.  It took some time for Leevi to adjust to the surface, but had fun anyway.
