Day 365 - Stop Following Me.

"Are you following me? Time to move forward!"

Here we are (again).  In the year since Leevi came into this world, so much has changed.  We've moved states, changed job responsibilities, adjusted to living in a townhome, had a bunch of adventures, and grown to appreciate how much family can really help you out. Adding a second child really does a lot more than just double the crazy-level in the house.  It magnifies everything, including the great times.   Leevi has had numerous adventures with us, and on his own, and it has been quite an exciting journey in which to participate.  ,As always, we truly want to thank everyone, friends and family, that have helped us along the way.  So many things in our life could not have happened without them, this blog not the least of them.  I hope to continue with Leevi's pictures in a similar fashion to Paige's blog.  Stay tuned to both blogs for more!

Day 364 - Monster of the Midway

"This place is AMAZING!"

What summer would be complete without a trip to the State Fair.  For the first time we all went to the Wisconsin State Fair.  Leevi had a pretty good time, and was especially entertained by the lights on the Midway.

Bonus Photo:

What State Fair trip would be complete without miniature John Deere equipment?

Day 363 - Follow Me!

"Let's go for an adventure Tigger!"

Just a shot of Leevi heading out on an adventure, Tigger-in-Pajamas in tow.

Day 362 - Go Outside and Play

"I wish summer lasted forever."

Leevi has been able to take full advantage of his Summer, and put in plenty of hours in the backyard playing.  Definitely will be good to think about come January.

Day 361 - Practice Makes Perfect

"Bat, Check.  Water Bottle (thanks Athletic Trainer Mom), check. Baseball...hmmmm."

Leevi was ready to put into practice what he learned at the Brewer Game.  Now if he could just find a ball...

Day 360 - Leevi's Family Brewer Game

"I'm ready to go watch some baseball Momma.  Let's go!"

Leevi attended his first Dusso Family Brewer Game.  It was a very hot Saturday, but as always, it was a blast. Leevi really enjoyed his first game of Bags.

Day 359 - Building Blocks

"Time to Build."

Little people blocks have many advantages over Lego blocks for babies.  Two of which are very important:  First, Baby will not choke on them.  Second: They are large enough that you probably won't step on them unexpectedly.

Day 358 - Goofball

"Hahaha.  Don't make me laugh while I am trying to eat crackers.  You won't like the result."

Yeah, he's pretty much right.

Day 357 - Corn On (off) the Cob

"This corn is delicious."

Yeah!  It is sweet corn season!  Too bad he still has to have his cut off the cob, but it is still great.

Day 356 - Living the High Life

"I can see for miles and miles up here!"

Leevi likes a good shoulder ride.

Day 355 - TP Theif

"Check it out Bailey,  I swiped the whole roll.  Let's have some fun!"

Ahhh, the beloved toilet paper as a toy stage.  How exciting.

Day 354 - Undercover Agent

"If I stay perfectly still, nobody will see me.  I am invisible!"

Just another day at the cabin.  If you look very closely, you can see Leevi hiding.  Although, it is difficult, given all of the very effective camouflage.

Day 353 - Over the River and Through the Woods to Uncle Bill's We Go.

"Let's go.  I know this is the way!"

Just a quick trip over to Uncle Bill's in the souped-up, off-road edition radio flyer.

Day 352 - A Different Cart, Same Process

"This looks familiar.  I bet I can figure it out."

Turns out that multiple cart toys operate very similarly.  Good for Leevi!

Day 351 - Biding Time

"What's up next on the list of fun?"

Leevi does a pretty good job of entertaining  himself.  Although, some times that leads to him trying to eat dirt or wood chips.  All in good time I guess.

Day 350 - Relaxing

"Good job with dinner."

Just a little relaxation after a good meal.

Day 349 - Wait Up!

"Hey, wait for me!"

And so begins Leevi's ever increasing struggle of keeping up with his big sister.  He pretty much wants to follow her around all the time.  This likely won't end well for him.

Bonus Photo:

Sorry kiddo, you're just not fast enough yet.

Day 348 - Leevi Cart Service

"Ok, here we are a the Fridge.  Please watch your step."

Leevi is getting stronger.  Paige is getting pretty tall these days, and he can still manage to shuttle her around a little bit.  Poor kid.  It will probably never stop now.

Day 347 - Wrath of the Leevi-Monster

"Blargghhh!  I will eat you."
...and on each seventh day, a maiden shall be brought to sacrifice before the Leevi-Monster.

It's official.  He is in the "everything in my mouth" stage.  So exciting (or not).

Day 346 - Adventures in Tempera Paint

"So bright, so fun, so tasty?"

Well, Leevi hasn't quite mastered the art of painting quite yet.  He was just more interested in what his big sister was doing.  Thankfully it only took a quick taste to realize it wasn't very good (and thankfully tempera paints are non-toxic).

Day 345 - Fight or Flight

"Ahhh!"

Run Leevi.  Well, crawl anyway.

Day 344 - Tigger Time

"Haha, Tigger, you're so much fun."

Leevi thoroughly enjoys his baby-tigger-in-pajamas that he got from Disneyland.  It might be the softest stuffed animal in history, so who can blame him.

Day 343 - All Star

"Yessss!"

And we have a walker.  Watch out world (and anything he can grab and throw.)

Day 342 - Go Sis!

"Hit the ball Paige.  Run!"

Leevi watched another game of Paige playing baseball.  He was particularly impressed that she ran all of the bases in the correct order.

Day 341 - Another Day at the Beach

"I'm not that ti...zzzz"

Another day at the beach, another nap.

Day 340 - Parallel Parking

"I think it might just fit."

Leevi is hard at work practicing his parallel parking skills.  Masterful, if you ask me.

Day 339 - Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay

"Think they will come back soon Grampa?"

We spent the day cruising around Beaver Dam lake, and got in some tubing.  Leevi had fun for a while, but it ended up being a bit too much for him.  He's more of a sitting on the end of the dock kind of kid these days.

Day 338 - Home Again, Home Again, Jiggity Jig.

"I almost forgot what you looked like Dad."

I had to spend the week up in St. Paul working on our old place, making sure everything was up to code before the city inspector came to give us our certificate of occupancy for the rental.  It was a long week.  I made it back in time to have dinner at Valerie's Dad's place in Beaver Dam, with only minor chemical burns, sun burn, some sore muscles and a confirmation that we were going to receive a "Class A" ranking.

Day 337 - Balancing Car

"This seems like a great place to practice standing.  What could possibly go wrong?"

What indeed Leevi, what indeed.

Day 336 - A trip to the park

"Thanks for showing me the ropes Paige."

Certainly not the first trip to the park, but Paige definitely helps her little brother out as much as she can on their trips to the park.

Day 335 - Look, a Ball!

"Look, a Ball!"

Yes, Leevi, that is indeed another ball.

Day 334 - Wrestlemania Sibling Edition

"Leg Drop!  Diving Elbow Drop!  Body Slam!"

Looks like Leevi is going to start giving it back to Paige a lot sooner than she ever guessed.  He just laughs and laughs whenever she pretty much dives on top of him and pins him down.

Day 333 - Astronaut

"It's like an alien planet around here!"

Not really, but he likes his astronaut pajamas.  Probably because they actually fit him.

Day 332 - Tuckered.

"That was a long trip!"

It is a long haul back from Ely these days, even with the stop overnight in Tomahawk.
