Day 285 - Bumpy Roads

"Let's go for another ride. The bumps are great."

A short trip to the cabin wouldn't be complete without a ride or two in the push along car.  Bumpy roads and all.  Leevi doesn't seem to mind.

Day 284 - Bridge Construction

"I'll hold it up, you go get the supplies!"

Just a little bridge construction.

Day 283 - Hunting Rabbits

"Be very quiet Kaija, don't bark too soon!"

We have a plethora of wildlife that likes to run through our back yard.  Rabbits, squirrels, pheasant, mice, muskrat, you name it.  Kaija is definitely quite interested.  Leevi, not quite as much, but still very interested.

Day 282 - Baby Healing Powers

"I'm feeling a lot better."

It is pretty amazing how quickly kids can heal.  Leevi had quite the scratch on his forehead, and it is quickly diminishing.

Day 281 - Alligator Swamp

"Do you think there are REAL alligators in that swamp?"

We decided to take the kids out to eat at the Water Street Brewery (yes, it is kid friendly, and yes, they do have a kids menu), which is a local restaurant and brew pub.  Very good food, pretty bad beer.  They have a nice patio that overlooks a wetland type area and....the freeway.  The loud, busy freeway.  We probably won't go back.

Day 280 - A Leevi in Motion stays in Motion

"This doesn't belong here.  Time for it to move."

Leevi is moving.  He is moving all the time.  Lots and lots of energy.

Day 279 - Road Rash

"My head hurts.  Right here, Not so much here, or here so much, right here."

Leevi took a pretty good digger trying to stand on his push car on the cement.  Thankfully I think it looks worse that it actually is.  Mostly just skin abrasion.  Leevi being the consummate trooper, was able to pick himself up and get going again quickly.
